Let's Active

Let's Active was Mitch's band from 1981-1990. The original group was Mitch, Faye Hunter (bass/backing vocals), and Sara Romweber (drums). This trio played together during the formative time of 1981-1984. Jay Peck replaced Sara, and Tim Lee played second guitar for the mid-eighties era, joining Mitch and Faye to form a formidable four-piece. In late 1985, the band experienced some upheaval and Mitch recorded Big Plans For Everybody mostly by himself, while making his own plans to re-group.

The band went through some personnel changes during the 1986-1988 timeframe, but still toured regularly until disbanding in the spring of 1990. Eric Marshall played drums on all tours from 1986-1990, was the only drummer on the final album, and has played in Mitch's new band since it came together in 2002.

Due to steady demand, Let's Active reissues have materialized. Buy them on ccmusic.com.

This is a series of three Let's Active reissue CDs now available from Collector's Choice, with bonus tracks and new liner notes based on 2003 interviews with Mitch. The first reissue is the combined EP and first album Cypress/Afoot, with two additional tracks. This CD features perhaps the best-known Let's Active song, "Every Word Means No." The second CD, Big Plans, features interesting bonus tracks, including the original version of "Horizon" co-written with and sung by Faye Hunter. The Every Dog Has Its Day reissue features alternate mixes as its bonus tracks.
